CTBC Finance Co., Ltd. (CTBC Finance) officially changed its name on January 1, 2021 (formerly known as TLG Capital Co., Ltd.). It was established as a fully owned subsidiary of Taiwan Life Insurance Co., Ltd (Taiwan Life) in 2003.

To effectively integrate resources and diversify business opportunities, CTBC Holding completed the merger of its subsidiary company, Taiwan Life in 2015, making CTBC Finance one of the members of the CTBC Holding. Subsequently, to enhance financial holding management efficiency and leverage group synergies, CTBC Holding acquired 100% of CTBC Finance as a fully owned subsidiary in August 2023.
