As part of our efforts to grow and diversify our operations, CTBC Holding obtained a 98.6% stake in Truswell Securities Investment Trust in November 2012. The following January, its name was changed to CTBC Investments, and in June that year we obtained the remaining 1.4% to become the sole stakeholder.

CTBC Investments excels in fund investment and management. By integrating the group’s resources and developing product strategies centered on customer needs, it covers a broad range of asset management services including mutual funds, ETFs, discretionary investments, and private placements. It also cooperates with overseas strategic partners to serve as an offshore fund master agent and to complement its onshore resources.

CTBC Investments has a great variety of product lines and is dedicated to innovative, differentiated product development. In addition to issuing mutual funds, it entered the ETF market in 2018. As of March 2024, it had issued 23 ETFs, including 12 equity ETFs and 11 bond ETFs. It also has 12 onshore funds and has served as the master agent of 13 offshore funds.

Investor education is a top priority for CTBC Investments, which regularly invites investment experts to share their investment experiences and risk management knowledge through both online livestreams and offline investment seminars. These efforts have been well received by the public and industry alike, most recently in the form of Asia Asset Management’s 2020/2021 Best Investor Education in Taiwan honor. Additionally, from 2022 to 2024, CTBC Investments received multiple awards from The Asset, including Sustainability ETF in Taiwan, Most Innovative ETF in Taiwan, and Best ETF Provider in Taiwan - Offshore. Domestically, CTBC Investments won the Excellent Asset Management Award at the Securities and Futures Institute’s Best S&F Paper Awards in 2023 as well as first prize in the Taipei Exchange’s ETF contest in 2024.
